Ash Wednesday Website Links

Ash Wednesday marks the first day and beginning of Lent, a Roman Catholic tradition in which the suffering of Jesus Christ is observed.  This day, devout Catholics fast, eating only one full meal per day, and never any meat.  If you see people walking around with dirt on their heads, its actually supposed to be the sign of the cross made with blessed ashes from the palms from the previous Palm Sunday.
